12 years ago when I first began my business from scratch and being a perfectionist by nature, I tried many different products on the market:
*Plaster Kits . . . . . . . . . . . .You can't even get a good print and the MESS Yuk! Many parents don't even know that over the years, these crack and/or crumble *Fimo products . . . . . . . . . Very opaque so none of the little lines and wrinkles showed up.
*Air-dried products . . . . . . . Not as messy and not durable over time but still the finished product just didn't make the cut.
*Various other medians . . . . Very frustrating, messy and very disappointing
I could not be proud of any of the products listed above. NONE of them were up to snuff! I began to wonder, am I just too meticulous? Like there even is such a thing! Even though I felt frustrated and somewhat defeated, I refused to give up. I remembered how much I enjoyed ceramics in high school. I decided to try ceramic clay-and boy what a great choice it was! At that time I was doing in-home licensed childcare so my own kids and childcare children were my models. They turned out pretty good so I decided to give them to the parents and my family members as gifts for the holidays. They were a smashing hit! And that's when Precious Prints was born.
